MTB Outing

With Florence Darbellay, European MTB champion and multiple winner of the Grand Raid MTB race from Verbier to Grimentz.

If you do not know Florence from her biking performances, many of you know her from her presentations at past SCSC seminars. Whatever, but one thing is sure, you wouldn’t want to miss sharing a mountain bike outing with her.

Don’t think you have to be an ace at mountain biking to come along … on the contrary!

Here is her invitation :

Meeting in Noiraigue on Sunday October 8, at 9 a.m.
Departure in the direction of Travers, then climb to Creux-du-Van. From there descent, via the Grand-Vy, for lunch, either to the Ferme Robert (https://www.ferme-robert.ch/le-restaurant/)
or
to the Restaurant de la Truite (https://www.la-truite.ch/gastronomie.htm), at Champ-du-Moulin. This option adds a few kilometers on a short up-hill path back to Noiraigue.

Requirements: Without any technical difficulty, climbs are easy and regular on paved and unpaved roads.
Florence thinks that this outing is in reach of all levels.
     Ferme Robert version: 30km, up 750m
     La Truite version: 35km, up 900m.
     Possibility of shortening this version by taking the train
     from Champ-du-Moulin back to Noiraigue.

Noiraigue, is a village in the Val-de-Travers located about 20 kilometers from Neuchâtel.

FICS Sport Seminar in Lausanne

Was held on June 18-19 and September 11-12, 2021
Maison du Sport Internationale (Msi) Lausanne, Switzerland

Primarily intended for DCs seeking certification* in sports chiropractic, but open to all DCs and students. First session is a live online course via zoom, the second is a in-room hands-on presentation.

Up to 20 CE credits could be obtained.

The seminar pas presented by Dr Christine Foss, head of the education department of FICS. She commented that in her numerous seminars she always finds that there is still insufficient knowledge and practice of the many sports specific issues, be it injury or prevention, this not only on the field but also in chiropractic offices. She not only recommends obtaining a ICSC degree but also regular updates through continued education.
